The Impact of Ketone Bodies on Lymph Vessel Growth

Welcome to today's episode where we explore groundbreaking research led by Melissa Garcia-Caballero and her team in Belgium, published in 2019. Their study highlights how elevating ketone bodies in the lymph, either through a ketogenic diet or supplementation, can promote lymph vessel formation and facilitate fluid drainage. This research holds significant promise for women with lipedema, who often experience swelling, particularly in their lower legs. Join us as we discuss how adopting a diet that induces ketone production, like a low-carbohydrate ketogenic diet, may support increased lymph vessel formation and potentially alleviate swelling in individuals with lipedema.
