Addressing Lipedema Pain through Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT)
Today, I want to discuss a study conducted by a team of researchers in Szeged, Hungary. The paper, titled "Lymphedema Treatment Decreases Pain Intensity in Lipedema," was published in the peer-reviewed journal Lymphology in 2011. The study aimed to assess the effects of traditional lymphedema treatment on pain intensity among women with lipedema. The treatment described in the paper includes manual lymph drainage (MLD), pneumatic pump therapy, skin care, compression bandaging, and exercise.
